Aliyah Sahar

Aliyah Sahar has been studying and performing dance since the age of three. Her dance background includes more than 10 years of Middle Eastern dance, 13 years of tap, ballet and jazz, and additional training in modern, ballroom, and Latin.

Aliyah is a regular performer at the Mediterranean Cruise, Beirut, and Santorini restaurants in Minneapolis, MN in addition to performing for weddings, private functions, corporate events and cultural events.

Aliyah is Co-director of “The Sisters of the Sahara”. This newly formed dance ensemble recently performed at Arab World Fest 2006 in Milwaukee, WI, the MN Renaissance Festival for the 2006 season, the Landmark Center's "Urban Expedition - Morocco", St. Paul, MN. Belly Dance UW’s 6th Annual Spring Show (2006), Wisconsin Union Theater, Madison, WI, and “Orientalia” 2006 in Miami, FL for Tamalyn Dallal’s Mid-East Dance Exchange.

Peter K

Guitarist, Composer, Educator, Arranger, Producer, Recording Artist.

Peter K is more than just a guitarist. He is the consummate musician. In a career that expands three decades, he has proven himself in a wide range of musical styles and contexts. A native of Chicago, IL., he grew up in the perfect enviroment for a young person interested in music. At age 13, his family moved to Topeka, Kansas, and it was there that he crafted his art.

Peter started taking lessons from Garth Cookingham, a Classical guitarist, who studied under the great Sergovia of Spain. From there he attended Washburn University, to become a Music Educator. Peter studied jazz at Kansas University, under the guidance of Jim Stringer.

His performing credits include: Roy Burns, Dave Hope of Kansas-(the 70's rock band), Gregg & Matt Bissonette along with countless others. Currently Peter is working on producing his new CD "Alana", which should be out in stores in the fall of 2008.

Adrienne Nightingale

Fierce Butterflies!

DESCRIPTION: Adrienne Nightingale is a folk singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a gypsy lifestyle. Most recently Adrienne was in Kenya using music to educate and empower the Maasai community in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Resounding with visceral impact, her folk sound is best described as ‘Fierce Butterflies’

BIO: Adrienne Nightingale is a folk singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a gypsy lifestyle. Currently based between Minneapolis, MN and Brooklyn, NY. She tours annually both abroad and in the United States playing over 100 shows a year at clubs, coffeehouses, colleges, and festivals across the country. She’s played for audiences in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Spain and Kenya. Most recently Adrienne was in Kenya using music to educate and empower the Maasai community in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Zachary Scot Johnson

DESCRIPTION: Singer/Songwriter Zachary Scot Johnson. Nationally touring singer/ songwriter has opened for artists like Shawn Colvin, Jane Siberry, The Be Good Tanyas, Steve Forbert and others.

BIO: Zachary Scot Johnson is a singer/songwriter with 2 CD's out. His blend of folk-pop-alt country-jazz-blues mesh into a completely unique style. His shows are extremely popular.

Cory Aaland

DESCRIPTION: Mellow folky music. Cory plays solo, with a guitar and vocals, and can also play harmonica. He also play with a band called "The New Music Machine".

BIO: He has played at bars and coffee shops around the Twin cities for the past year, and also at venues like the Fine Line Music Cafe and The Whole at the University of Minnesota.

Carey Keavy

BIO: Carey Keavy lives in Watertown, Minnesota and is the mother of four boys and wife to husband Jeff. She is on staff as the worship leader for her church in Watertown. Carey is a singer/songwriter whose passion is to reveal her heart through her music.
