"green PAVILION" at Minneapolis Convention
Center
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.—A lot of home shows
tout “green living,” and offer ideas for sustainable
living. The Home Improvement and Design Expo takes “green”
a bit further and actually shows homeowners how to live green.
Scheduled for October 17-18, 2009 at the
Minneapolis Convention Center, “The Home Improvement and
Design Expo is for people who are serious about making improvements
to their homes,” says “Magic Brad”, one-half
of the event marketing duo known as "The Expo Guys."
“We’ve found, through past shows, that they’re
also serious about making improvements without damaging their
families’ health and want to be easier on our planet too.
That’s where the ‘green’ issues really hit home.”
The Expo will feature a "Green Pavilion"
area, with free speaker presentations, demonstrations and live
entertainment as well as provide opportunities for homeowners
to consult with architects, builders, remodelers, landscapers
and leaders in the green building movement. Each day, the first
50 people who visit the exhibit will receive a door buster goodie
bag. Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
Admission to the event is $6 at the door.
Or FREE with a non-perishable food item for the United Way Food
Shelves. Hours are 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
